Description
Accessible via a 2 ½ mile trail, the first lookout on Shorty Peak on the Kaniksu National Forest was a cupola cabin built in 1927. In 1964 the present 14’x14’ R-6 flattop with catwalk on a 8’ concrete base was constructed. It is now in the recreation rental system.
