Description
When it was constructed in 1933, the materials for Sloans Point Lookout on the Payette National Forest were hauled in by wagon. The 72’ Aermotor tower with 7’x7’ metal cab was staffed into the 1970s. The log cabin residence was removed in 1994 and in 2000 volunteers dismantled the tower and reconstructed the cab and 10’ of the tower at the Central Idaho Historical Museum in McCall.
