Description
The first fire tower on this site on the Harrison Crawford State Forest was constructed by the CCC in 1937. It was damaged by fire and replaced with the 88’ steel tower with 7’x7’ metal cab in 1941. When the land was transferred to the O’Bannon Woods State Park, the tower became known as the O'Bannon Woods Fire Tower.
