Description
Located on the Bernheim Arboretum & Research Forest in Bullitt County, KY, Bernheim Lookout, an 48’ Aermotor tower with 7’x7’ metal cab was constructed in 1929 by the Kentucky Division of Forestry. It was regularly staffed until 1980, and used to monitor a wildfire in 1986. Restoration and maintenance is now handled by the Bernheim Foundation with volunteers from the local community.
