Description

Located just inside the Virginia state line, Black Mountain Lookout sits atop the highest point in Kentucky. The cab and lowest flight of stairs have been removed, but the rest of this tower still stands.

Comments: Cab is completely gone and is laying on the ground at the foot of the tower in pieces. Stairs are all rotten and it is missing first run. Steel looks good, however, it is just a steel frame with no cab and rotten stairs. Concrete foundations severely cracked. The only thing good is the steel.

I really don't know what you could do. If the concrete foundations were repaired (if they can be), the steel is in good shape. Stairs would need replacing and cab is in pieces at bottom of the tower.
