Description
The first fire tower in this area was on Prospect Hill located just to the northeast. It was a 48’ iron tower constructed in 1916. At the request of the Navy, the Bureau of Fire Control constructed Norwell Fire Tower in1956 to replace it. It is a 70’ steel tower with a wooden 10’x10’ cab.
