Cinnamon Mountain Lookout on the Gallatin National Forest was constructed by the U.S. Forest Service in 1958. Since it is not quite 50 years old, it will be listed on the National Lookout Register until 2008, when it will be transferred to the National Historic Lookout Register. It was the site of a "rag camp" (tent) lookout in the 1930s until the R-6 flattop cab with catwalk on a 10' wood tower went into service. It was rehabilitated in 1999.
