Description
In 1984 Gird Point and seven other inactive lookouts on the Bitterroot and Lolo National Forests were slated for removal. Happily three were saved from destruction and restored. Built in 1939, this L-4 live-in cab on an 8' timber tower was rehabilitated in 2002. It is now in the cabin rental system.
