Description
After 35 years of abandonment, McGuire Mountain Lookout was restored in 1982 and placed in the rental system. The 1924 D-6 cupola lookout was a common design at the time it was constructed. The model was replaced by the L-4s, but a few of them remain as historic sites and only two or three are in fire service nationwide.
