Description

First used as a detection site in 1913, Blue Job is a focal point of a small state forest, the 32' steel tower with wood cab was constructed in 1915 and modified in 1930 and again in the 1980s. For many years the lookout served both Maine and New Hampshire under a cooperative agreement. In active service.

Comments: This tower is one of the towers that was recently redone by the state of New Hampshire, and is in great shape. The watchman's cabin door had some repaired holes but was in bad condition and the cabin had a wasp nest in it and the outhouse was tipped over, but the tower itself is great.
