Description
Located within a state forest of the same name, the 34' steel tower with the standard and unique New Hampshire wooden cab was constructed in 1915. In a 1979 addition, 10' was added to the Belknap Mountain Lookout tower. Reached by trail from the popular Gunstock Recreation Areas, the lookout has many visitors and reports many fires. | Comments: | The tower and nearby watchman's cabin are in very good condition. The wood on the observation deck seems to have recently been replaced, and everything was in very good condition. |
