Description
The Former Tooley Pond Fire Tower was dismantled and then re-erected at the site of the New York State Ranger School by students and staff in the late 1990s. The 47-foot Aeromotor LS 40 tower can be visited by following the Latham Trail from the NYS Ranger School to the summit. The tower is sometimes referred to as the Ranger Tower and a nearby boulder contains a plaque that states "Dedicated to all Rangers, Observers, and Wardens who have watched over our forests."
