Description
The first lookout at Bald Butte on the Ochoco National Forest was a 45' pole tower with a 8x8' cab and ground residence constructed in 1931. Built in 1959, the current 41' timber tower with a 14' x 14' R-6 wooden flattop cab with catwalk is staffed as needed.
