Description

Dutchman Peak is the last of the original cupola lookouts still in use. Located near the California—Oregon state line, on the Rogue River National Forest, the structure was built in 1927 and is one of the oldest lookouts remaining in service in the United States. It is a favorite stop on the Mt. Ashland Loop Road and for hikers on the nearby Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail.
