Description
Just to the east of Klamath Falls one can see Hogback Mountain Lookout. The first station was a 41’ tower built in 1941. Condemned in 1987, the Klamath Forest Protection Ass’n. and the Oregon Dept. of Forestry moved a 30’ steel tower with external stairway from Sycan Butte the following year and placed a new ODF low gable cab with catwalk on top. It is in active service.
