Description
Aptly named (as it sits on top of a large rock), Lookout Rock Lookout was originally a crow's nest platform on the Fremont National Forest in the 1920s. It was replaced in 1932 with a 20' wooden tower with an L-4 cab. The present 14' x 14' R-6 flattop with catwalk on a 20' wood tower was constructed in 1962, but soon placed on standby status in 1968.
