Description
Towerview Fire Tower, a 70’ Aermotor tower with 7’x7’ metal cab was built by the CCC in 1935-36 for the Tennessee Division of Forestry at Stoney Point in Dickson County. A 14’x 24’ chestnut log cabin was constructed as the towerman’s residence. In 1997 the tower was purchased by Joel & Jason Clark and moved intact by truck 12 miles to their Towerview Farm, along with the chestnut cabin. The Clarks also acquired a forestry fire truck which remains active as the Towerview Farm Independent Volunteer Fire Service.
