Description
The only lookout of its type constructed on the Payette National Forest, Indian Mountain is a R1/L4 structure with 14’x 14’ cab and catwalk. It was built in 1933, replacing a cupola cabin dating from 1922, and restored to original specifications in 1993-94. Still in active service, the site was first used for detection in 1910 with a tent camp.
