Description
Sourdough Mountain lookout was built on the Mt. Baker National Forest in 1933 and transferred to the National Park Service when the North Cascades National Park was created by Congress in 1967. The L-4 groundhouse replaced a cupola lookout dating to 1917. A popular hiking destination, the lookout continues in active service.
