Description
The Wisconsin Conservation Commission (now the DNR) constructed Fifield Fire Tower in 1932, one year prior to the establishment of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. The 100’ Aermotor tower with a 7’x7’ metal cab has a vertical ladder access. Restored by the U.S. Forest Service, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
