Description
Also located in Delaware is the Viola Fire Tower built in 1935. Originally designed as a 100 ft. structure, modifications resulted in a total height of 123 ft. As in all Delaware towers, the roof the the cab was also utilized for observation (the hurricane deck), with access through a trap door in the ceiling. The tower was removed between 2004 and 2006.
